3.      To receive declarations of interest
None

4.      Public forum
None present

5.      To consider licence and planning applications received and make recommendations
WD/2011/1708/F for CHERRY WOOD, FAIRGLEN ROAD, WADHURST, TN5 6PT
NEW STABLES OUTBUILDING
Object on grounds of the disproportionate size of the structure compared with the cottage, which is detrimental in an AONB.  In addition, though there is no description of the track from the road through the existing access in the field, we would not wish to see any sort of surface installed.

WD/2011/2016/F for FIELD ADJOINING BROOKFIELDS, OLD STATION ROAD, WADHURST TN5 6QH
ERECTION OF TWO ROWS OF GROUND MOUNTED SOLAR PANELS IN FIELD
No objection as the proposal is environmentally sympathetic and does not impact upon the neighbours.

WD/2011/1905/F for LAWN COTTAGE, DEWHURST LANE, WADHURST  TN5 6QB
ALTERATIONS TO EXISTING DWELLING AND CONVERSION OF EXISTING AGRICULTRUAL BUILDING INTO RESIDENTIAL USE - Changes to external fenestration & internal alterations Drawing Nos. 11051-P-01-B, 02-B & 03-B Date Stamped 21 September 2011
No objection, but we comment that the drawings are still not clear as to the extent of the existing agricultural building that is being converted.

WD/2011/2014/F for BUTTONS FARMHOUSE, BUTTONS LANE, WADHURST TN5 6NW
ALTERATIONS AND EXTENSIONS
No objection, but we note that the proposed increase of approximately 40% exceeds the design guidelines (10/2.3).  However we believe the site supports an extension of this size.

WD/2011/2068/F for THE THATCHED COTTAGE, FAIRGLEN ROAD, BEST BEECH, WADHURST TN5 6JL
DEMOLITION OF EXISTING GARAGE AND REPLACEMENT WITH NEW OAK FRAMED GARAGE
Support because it is an improvement on the existing structure.

WD/2011/2047/F for LAND ADJACENT TO NOS. 9 & 10 GREAT DURGATES CLOSE, WADHURST TN5 6RD
ERECTION OF SINGLE RESIDENTIAL DWELLING WITH ASSOCIATED PARKING AND AMENITY
Support this small unit, but we are concerned about space for visitor parking.

WD/2011/2087/FA for WADHURST CASTLE, WADHURST TN5 9DA
USE OF PART OF CASTLE AND GROUNDS FOR PRIVATE FUNCTIONS INCLUDING WEDDINGS AND SIMILAR CELEBRATIONS TOGETHER WITH CORPORATE MEETINGS
No objection.

WD/2011/1577/F for LAND ADJACENT TO 1 FAIRVIEW COTTAGES, BALACLAVA LANE, WADHURST TN5 6EQ
ERECTION OF DETACHED HOUSE WITH ASSOCIATED VEHICULAR PARKING, ACCESS AND LANDSCAPING (REVISED APPLICATION FOLLOWING WITHDRAWAL OF WD/2011/0644/F) - Design amendments--hips to roof, weatherboarding to first floor, parapet roof to utility. Minor resiting further from road. Visibility splay indicated. Drawing Nos 4188A2 Rev C, 4188A3 Rev C & 4188A4 Rev D Date Stamped 27 September 2011.
No objection to this application in principle as we consider that a house could be built on this site.  However we have reconsidered this particular application and believe that it is too large for the site and the architectural design is out of character with the adjacent properties.

WD/2011/1904/F for WYCK COTTAGE, WYCK LANE, WOODS GREEN, WADHURST TN5 6QS
NEW OAK FRAMED BREAKFAST ROOM
No objection in principle although it does not improve or enhance the existing listed building.  We would suggest conservation officers’ views be sought on the design.  It is not clear from the papers, but the brick bonding should match the existing.

6.      To consider notices of decisions received
WD/2011/1252 for September Cottage, Monks Lane
Approval
WD/2011/1693/FE for Long View, Primmers Green
Approval

7.      Urgent issues at the discretion of the Chairman for noting
