PLANNING APPLICATIONS CAN BE VIEWED here - but note the reference number before leaving this page!

WD/2007/1512/F  Watergate Farm, Station Road
Single 4 bedroom dwelling with attached garage to accommodate farmer. The main farmhouse being occupied by the applicant’s father

The application document indicates this as a full application but no drawings of the house were submitted. Further, the curtilage of the house is not outlined as required in red.

It is noted from the planning history that a conditional retirement annexe was approved in 1999 but understand that this was never constructed. We are informed by the applicant, Mr Lamplugh who attended the meeting that the application was intended to be an outline one which we are minded to consider favourably subject to an agricultural condition and provided such a condition is retained on the existing house.

WD/2007/1980/F  Lodge Hill Oast Coombe lane
Alterations of roof space to existing garage for ancillary use

No objection in principle to use of roof space as games room but would not consider favourably any further conversion for domestic use and the applicant should be advised accordingly

WD/2007/1793/F  Bratton, 5 Turners Green

No objection

WD/2007/1790/F  The Four Keys, Station Road
An amendment for rear windows for the living rooms and some excavations of the existing ground floor.

No objection

WD/2007/1271/LB  Newhouse Farm, Tidebrook
Hand/flip porch extension (currently approved but not built)

It is unclear from the documentation what the amendments consist of, therefore we are unable to comment. The elevations drawing No. 9935-P-04 refers under revision C to “boots room flipped”. We are not familiar with this term and there is no boots room indicated on the plan.

WD/2007/1784/F  1 Barracks Cottages, Tidebrook.
Erection of detached garage building.

Despite the reduction in size from the previous application it is considered that the proposal is still excessive in comparison with the size of the cottage. It is noted that No 2 Barracks Cottages is owned by the applicant and it may well be that it is the eventual intention to convert the 2 cottages into a single dwelling, in which case on the assumption that the No 2 garage is removed, it may be acceptable.

WD/2007/1764/F  Alouette, Mayfield Lane
Extend existing double garage with house extension above.

The proposed extension to provide a 7 bedroom dwelling results in particularly unattractive 19.5 metre long at first floor level, front and rear elevations and therefore we object on aesthetic grounds.

WD/2007/1718/F  Yeomans, Three Oaks Lane
Alterations and extension to Yeomans and annexe

No objections to the main house proposals, but point out that the drawings do not indicate how the change of level shown on the existing ground floor plan is to be overcome with the proposed alterations, particularly in the new reception area.

\it is considered that the proposal to extend the oast house annexe would further detract from the original agricultural character of the building and therefore is unacceptable.
