The committee's comments made on 23/12/09 and 9/01/10 on previous applications were ratified

WD/2009/2722/FR  Visitors' Centre, Bewl Water Bewlbridge Lane, Lamberhurst
Various external physical alterations to Visitors' Centre including the creation of new terrace and decking area, paths, tensile covered structures, new doors, associated landscaping and minor internal works.

Cllr Kent declared a prejudicial interest and withdrew and returned at 10.00 am.

In addition to our comments to application WD/2009/2056/FR please note that we are concerned that noise transmission should be adequately controlled by if necessary the introduction of lobbies at appropriate doorways and possibly double glazing. In addition it is suggested that if Wealden District Council is minded to approve the application it should be subject to review after 12 months.

WD/2010/0002/F  Tunnel House, Durgates
Proposal for erection of five dwellings, 2 No. one bed flats and three No. two bed maisonettes

We strongly object on account of excessive bulk, height, elevational treatment, unsatisfactory access and egress, together with impractical car parking arrangements, including that for visitors and the loss of off road parking for workers in Tunnel House. In addition the proposal would appear to conflict with the requirements of HG4 of the Wealden non statutory plan and the SE plan.

Proposed extension over existing flat roof.

No objection.

WD/2009/2663/F  Briar Western Road, Sparrows Green
Two single storey side extensions

No objection.

WD/2010/0143/FE  Clearview, Land south of Mayfield Lane
Extension of time of WD/2004/2066/F for the construction of a large house, detached triple garage, stable block with storage and a winter feed barn and rear access road.

As the Planning History indicated that an application as described above was approved last year we see no reason for an extension of time.

WD/2010/0134/F  Orchard Cottage, Snape Lane
Amendments to previously approved application WD/07/2955/F to create annexe living accommodation above garages.

No objection.

WD/2010/0095/F  Lucks Farm, Cousley Wood
Proposed replacement of existing single storey extension to provide study and toilet together with increase in size of the drawing.

No objection.

WD/2010/0039/F  The Shrubbery, Cousley Wood Road, Pell Green
New attached single garage and extension.

No objection.

WD/2009/2599/F 21 Western Road, Sparrows Green
Demolition of ground floor kitchen and attached outbuilding, erection of a single storey rear extension to provide a new kitchen.

No objection.

Conversion of part of existing agricultural building to form single work/live unit

We strongly object to what in effect is a separate dwelling with domestic curtilage on agricultural land without an agricultural occupancy condition.

WD/2010/0043/F  Soltane, Mount Camphill Community, Faircrouch Lane
Extensions to existing dwelling to provide 2 additional bedrooms and 1 bathroom and 1 additional living room & entrance lobby.

We support this application.

WD/2009/2564/F  4 St. Georges Cottages, Brinkers Lane
Erection of a single storey side extension, new porch, (replacing existing) dormer window to front, dormer window to rear, new French windows and back door to rear.

No objection providing the materials match the existing.

WD/2009/2685/MAJ  Southfields, Southview Road
Demolition of existing offices, garage workshop and lock up garages and erection of new part one, part two storey offices, ancillary car parking, cycle storage, access road, refuse store and vehicle turning facility.

No objection.

We regret that we are unable to provide any evidence of the history of this site although the documentation submitted would appear to be sufficient to confirm its established use.
