WADHURST PARISH COUNCIL ELECTIONS - THURSDAY 5 MAY
CANDIDATES' STATEMENTS

return to full list

TOM DOYLE

Doyle I’m proud to live and work in Wadhurst.

While on the council I’ve worked with young people to rebuild the playground; fought for better, safer roads; supported the new library, allotments and football field; and most of all tried to make the council more relevant and useful to you.

I believe that councillors should work hard and get things done. It’s not enough to oppose or to react to events.

If re-elected my priorities will be:
  • Protecting our countryside and improving our public spaces
  • Working with others to restore Youth Club services
  • Fighting for better transport infrastructure
  • Resisting overdevelopment, including a supermarket on the High Street
