E-mail Directory |
It has been suggested that a directory of e-mail addresses of residents, traders and anyone interested in our locality, would be a useful addition to the website. If you would like to be included, fill in the form below with at least your name [full or first as you wish] and e-mail address. There is also space for home address or phone number, and any other personal details, interest etc that you would like to include. Remember that the database wil be held on a computer - and that it will be open for public access: as Webmaster, I reserve the right to refuse or amend entries as necessary!

Private Bag 4800 Christchurch 8020, New Zealand Born in Wadhurst in 1942 and lived in Moseham Cottages at the top of Moseham Hill. My dad worked at Whiligh Estate at the sawmill after the WW2. I attended the old Primary School and then went to the Secondary School at Sparrows Green. Our family emigrated to New Zealand in 1957. I have never been back so I was thrilled to find the website. Reading through the pages I remember a lot of the peoples names, and was also pleasantly reminded of those whom I had forgotten. outside where I later worked for Mrs Newington's paper shop on her longest paper round.

Started life in 1946 at Pell Cottage, which no longer exists. The last child in a family of eight, but only one brother (Raymond) still lives in Wadhurst. Have travelled around the world a lot and moved back for a while, but still remember the village as it was in the fifties. The Queen's Head, the International Stores, my father's allotment (now a housing estate), fields that are now covered by Bewl Reservoir etc. Lots of good childhood memories that cannot be erased.
